Publicado por REMO el Miercoles, 11 Abril de 2012 a las 18:24:25

For many Düsseldorfers – and indeed, for all visitors – a day on the Rhine is like a holiday. The café terraces have been wiped, polished and prettied up in readiness for the outdoor season. The city is perfectly primed for life in the open air as well, with numerous events such as the Japan Day Düsseldorf/NRW, the METRO Group Marathon Düsseldorf, or sightseeing options that are all ideal for joining in. We wish you an action-packed spring and look forward to your visit.

Jazz Rally

Last year, the Jazz Rally attracted more than 300,000 music fans to Düsseldorf from all over the world. This year, jazz lovers can once again look forward to a varied programme from 25 – 27 May. The inaugural event traditionally takes place in one of the hangars at Düsseldorf Airport. Rea Garvey, a popular coach from the casting show “The Voice of Germany” will be making the airport rock this year…more

Japan Day Düsseldorf/NRW

On 2 June, Düsseldorf will again be transformed into “Japan on the Rhine”. With various activities such as manga drawing, trying on kimonos, eating sushi, and Japanese musical performances, visitors will get a great taste of Far Eastern atmosphere. The crowning moment of the event will once again be the breathtaking fireworks display. Once darkness has fallen, the master pyrotechnicians from Japan will be conjuring up spectacular pictures in the sky and bringing a smile to every face...more

Düsseldorf extends round trip programme

It’s time for convertibles – and the HopOn HopOff sightseeing tour buses are adapting to the spring weather too. From 1 April, they’ll be out on the roads with the top down, and will be running more frequently. You’ll also get plenty of fresh air with the two-hour guided walk through the Altstadt (including a panorama boat trip) which will be operating daily from 6 April. Those who are mainly interested in seeing the sights should try the “Düsseldorf all-inclusive” package: This combination of sightseeing tour by bus and on foot includes a trip up the Rhine Tower and will be showing Düsseldorf’s city centre from its best side as of 6 April. More tour information is available here…more

Museum Night

On 28 April, the art and culture scene will be presenting art for all the senses for one spring NIGHT: Alongside exhibitions by great masters and the works of talented newcomers, a diverse side programme will attract visitors into both the established galleries and some completely unfamiliar locations in the state capital between 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. Performances, readings, film screenings and imaginative culinary choices are the perfect invitation to a nocturnal stroll through the world of art...more

Romanticise yourself! Schumannfest Düsseldorf

Robert Schumann is regarded as the German romantic par excellence, and Düsseldorf as THE Schumann city. The composer lived here for three-and-a-half years and was the principal conductor of the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra. Now he once more plays godfather to a special music festival – the Schumannfest Düsseldorf from 24 May to 4 June. Under the artistic direction of Michael Becker, the Director of the Tonhalle, and the dramaturg Beate Schüler, the festival will be creating a new picture of Schumann…more

State of the Art Photography NRW-Forum Düsseldorf

The NRW-Forum Düsseldorf will be showing the exhibition “State of the Art Photography” until 6 May. To create the show, art experts were asked which photographers would be defining the debate in the coming years. Alongside Andreas Gursky, Thomas Weski, Klaus Biesenbach, Udo Kittelmann, F.C. Gundlach, Thomas Seelig, Andrea Holzherr and Werner Lippert also gave their recommendations. This has created an overview exhibition showing the works of around 40 artists…more

Nena: live & unplugged

With evergreen hit singles such as “99 Red Balloons”, “Leuchtturm”, “Irgendwie, irgendwo, irgendwann” or “Wunder geschehen”, there is barely anybody who can touch Nena as one of the few singers from the Neue Deutsche Welle (New German Wave) to have remained just as popular in the 21st century. No wonder, given that Nena constantly surprises her fans with new ideas and styles. At “Nena: live and unplugged” everything will be different: sparse instrumentation, and lots of acoustic music. You can see her at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle on 27 April. Tickets are available here… more

Philipp Poisel

Philipp Poisel will be going on tour with his “Water Lily Project” in April 2012. Sensitive, authentic texts, inimitable guitar riffs and his unique voice will make you melt. He’s performing in Düsseldorf on 11 May. Get your tickets now… more

METRO Group Marathon Düsseldorf

On 29 April it’s that time of year again – when top athletes come together with weekend warriors. This year the event will be celebrating its tenth anniversary as well! The attractive route, which passes many Düsseldorf sights, is enjoying increasing popularity. The mood in the city is fantastic and will be pumped up by the samba bands along the way. Come along, cheer on the runners, and contribute to the great atmosphere…more

Power Horse World Team Cup

Last year, Germany was the winner of the 34th POWER HORSE WORLD TEAM CUP 2011. In the final against Argentina, Patrik Kühnen’s team won the crucial double with 6-3 and 7-6, taking the coveted Tennis World Team Cup for the fifth time. This means that the Germans are the sole record title winners in the history of the tournament at Düsseldorf’s Rochusclub. This year’s championship will be taking place in Düsseldorf from 20 – 26 May…more

German Artistic Gymnastics Championships

The NRW state capital will be hosting the German Artistic Gymnastics Championships for the first time. The country’s best gymnasts will be competing at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle on 16 and 17 June.

Mil gracias.
