Castilo de Vajdahunyad - Hungría Vajdahunyad Castle - Hungary Author: N. Quiros Text: El edificio original fue construido en 1896 y reconstruido en 1904. Muestra todos los estilos arquitectónicos presentes en Hungría. The original Vajdahunyad Castle was constructed in 1896 to show in a single building all the different styles that can be found in Hungary. In 1904 the castle was reconstructed. It shows these architectonical styles: Roman, Gothic, transitional and Renaissance-Baroque. The building hosts the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture. |

Bastion de los Pescadores -Budapest- Hungria Fishermen’s Bastion -Budapest- Hungary Author: N. Quiros Text: El Bastión fue construido en 1905 en estilo neorrománico, sobre la antigua muralla. El nombre lo debe a ser la parte de muralla que defendían los pescadores en la edad media, aunque la función de la construcción actual nunca fue defensiva, sino ornamental. Las vistas sobre la ciudad son magníficas: el Danuvio, el Puente de las Cadenas, el Parlamento y Pest. Built in 1905 on the medieval castle walls, the neo-Romanesque ramparts were so named because the city's fishermen whose defend this side of the hill. The actual bastion never served a defensive purpose, it is ornamental. The view over the Danube, the Parliament Buildings and the Chain Bridge, is outstanding. |

Construida entre 1822 y 1869 en estilo neoclásico, es la sede de la Iglesia Católica en Hungría. Esztergom esta situada a unos 60 Km de Budapest, ya en la frontera con Eslovaquia. View of the town and river Dunube from the top of the Cathedral. It was built between 1822 and 1869 in neo-Classical style. It is the biggest cathedral in Hungary. Esztergom lies about 60 km north-west of the capital Budapest. Slovakia is on the other riverside. |
