First of October is Coffee Day. Where better to spend the Coffee Day than in Bremen? The brown bean, which is celebrated internationally on first of October, has a long history in the Hanseatic city. To this day, the beans of every second cup of coffee in Germany are traded through Bremen. Regardless whether Johann Jacobs or Ludwig Roselius, coffee has always been at home in Bremen. There's no excuse for boredom here, because the capital is full of exciting experiences for visitors of all ages. More than 1,850 playgrounds, Europe's most modern planetarium, Germany's largest trampoline hall, a zoo with the most species in the world, and much more mean there's something here for everyone. It should be no surprise, then, that Berlin is considered one of the most family-friendly cities in Europe.

LÜBECK´S OLD TOWN – A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

Lübeck, the Queen of the Hanseatic League, was founded in 1143 “as the first occidental City at the Baltic Coast” and stands for an exemplary character for all Hanseatic Cities of the Baltic provinces. Mediaeval ambience and historic sites determine until today the cityscape and are remembrances of the important history as a Free- and Hanseatic City. During its 11th conference from December 7th – 11th, 1987, the International UNESCO-World Heritage Commission incorporated the Old Town as world culture heritage in its register.
