3 Belgian beer events for 2023: Opening Belgian Beer World in Brussels, Beer in the Pajottenland, Hop out of the Brabant Kouters. Famous for its extensive range of beer styles, Belgium boasts a brewing heritage. Many of its top brewmasters still use the same recipes and brewing methods that have been passed down from one generation to the other. Beer in the Pajottenland Just outside the city, Flemish Brabant is always bustling with beer-related activities. In the Pajottenland, for example, we find many traditional Geuze breweries. Geuze, also known as the champagne among beers, sparkles fresh and cheerful in your glass without a typical thick foam head. This fresh sour beer has experienced a real revival in recent years and many breweries have set up beautiful reception centers and tasting rooms. Hop from the Brabantse Kouters The beautiful region of the Brabantse Kouters around Vilvoorde is one of the oldest hop regions in Flanders. A piece of heritage that is cherished and celebrated here. Especially in the picking month of September there are numerous events and hop walks. You can also cycle between the meter-high hop vines.
